15 minutes of personal development time will change everything

My biggest source of happiness has come from creating a life that I wanted and now that I have it I want you to have the same happiness.

Creating a life that you want starts with creating the person you want to be first. This is never going to be easy but we all have to start somewhere.

We hear a lot about maintaining a ‘work-life balance’ yet for many of us that may seem impossible but it’s actually more within your reach than you might think.

I’m sure no matter how busy you are you can set aside 15 minutes of your time for the opportunity to make you happier.

These 15 minutes will be enough for you to approach your day in a more optimistic positive mindset.

As a result of this time spent on yourself you’ll see more progress in all aspects of you whether this is business, relationships or education.

This time is best spend in the morning as that’s when it can have the highest impact on your life.

What should you do in this time?

The most productive thing you could do is to reflect on your actions yesterday which a lot of us do but we don’t tend to have a productive spin into it. Think about all the things you done yesterday, all the interactions you had and all the things you wanted to do. Now to add a productive spin is very simple, just ask yourself if there’s anything that you want to do different next time. If you can write these things down and keep a record of them that’s even better as you can truly see what you done. If you’re struggling to do this alone check out my reflection sheets coming soon to my website, the link will be at the end of this blog. Spend only about 5 minutes doing that as next you will be spending some time to see how you can apply any changes in your day.

Once you’ve spent time reflecting then spend the next 5 minutes planning. As you still have everything that you have fresh that you wanted to change and improve fresh in your mind it becomes a lot easier for you to implement it. This planning section will be where you decide how you will approach today. No one wakes up in a bad mood so when you plan your day at the very start you should be feeling quite relaxed and you will find it easiest to go into any mood that you would like to. Whether this is an excited mood, a relaxed mood or even a productive mood by planning at the start of the day you have to power to control it. Additionally, planning will make sure that your as effective in your day as you can be which will increase your productivity and move you closer to your goals. Setting aside this time will help you to avoid obstacles and set yourself up to become more successful.

Within the last 5 minutes and possibly the most important 5 minutes that 90% of people miss out, you need to meditate. Now I’m not saying that you should sit there and meditate on God especially if you don’t believe in one, but what I am saying is to meditate on the rest of your day. Meditate on yourself and tell yourself that you can make this a great day and remind yourself of your reasons on why you can do that. Remind yourself of the what makes today important and instead of thinking that one day doesn’t really matter tell yourself that every day counts and it’s the little things done well that will make a difference in the end.

I hope that you begin to implement this into your life, I know it can be of benefit to you.
